I have committed to fight Alzheimer’s disease! I’m participating in The Longest Day, and end Alzheimer’s fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
My dad, Laurence, was my hero. It was absolutely heartbreaking to watch as he declined and lost the ability to participate in the work, hobbies, and relationships he had always loved. After six long years, he lost that battle in January of 2015.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. That number includes more than 6 million Americans. Which means that in the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
How We Can Help
This month artists from all corners of the country are coming together to provide FREE online art and craft tutorials in our team’s Facebook group! I will be participating in an online arts and crafts Alzheimer’s fundraising event on Saturday, June 18, 2022. We want to help advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. You can watch all the crafters at https://www.facebook.com/groups/alzartandcrafts on that day, as well as leading up to the event! My goal is to raise $1,000.00, and I need your help! Please visit my fundraising page and make a donation today.
Thank You for Supporting the 2022 Alzheimer’s Fundraising Event!
Please come join us, and give if you can. Every dollar is important and we appreciate it. Together, we can make a difference! I’m doing it for people just like my dad, Laurence. Again, here is the link to the fundraising page.
