If you need a quick and cute way to package a small treat, these paper carrot treat holders are such a fun project to try. In this Tiny Tuesday, I’m showing you how to make them in two different sizes using simple supplies.
They’re perfect for spring projects, little gifts, party favors, or adding to a basket. And once you make one, you may want to make a whole bunch of them!

What You’ll Need
- Patterned paper in orange tones
- 4×6 paper (small carrot)
- 6×6 paper (large carrot)
- Adhesive (tear tape, score tape, etc.)
- Hole punch
- Green ribbon or trim
- Small treats
- Scissors (optional)
A Helpful Tip
Before adding adhesive, check which direction your paper curves most easily. Since you’ll be shaping it into a curve, this makes the process much smoother. You can even gently roll the paper first to “train” it.
How to Make the Paper Carrot Treat Holders
Start by adding adhesive along one long edge of your paper. Roll it into a tube shape, overlapping the seam slightly. Keep the seam closer to one side instead of centered.
Press the bottom flat, with your seam visable.
Turn the piece 90 degrees and and pinch the top in the opposite direction. (Like a sour cream container.) Fold the top corners inward to form the carrot shape. Open up and press the corners inward. While the top is open, fill with your treats.
Now, close the top. Next, punch a hole near the top, and add ribbon or trim to finish it off.
The 6×6 version creates a slightly larger, fuller carrot and is a bit easier to handle, while the 4×6 gives you a slimmer version. Both are adorable and work great depending on what you want to fill them with.
Final Thoughts
These paper carrot treat holders are simple, fun, and perfect when you need a quick project that still feels special.
